Event Details

The Rescue Mission, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people with addiction and homelessness, announces its inaugural gala event to promote awareness of personal life challenges in Tacoma and surrounding areas. Appropriately titled “100 Years in Black and White” the event will reflect on 100 years of Mission service while celebrating the future of 100 more to come.

Patrons of this unique occasion will enjoy fine dining, live music, and entertainment while raising funds for area families and individuals in need of counseling, shelter, and/or education.

The black-tie event is slated for 6 p.m., Saturday, April 28th, 2012, at the Lemay-America’s Car Museum in Downtown Tacoma. Guests will enjoy live music throughout the evening, and guests may bid on an array of exquisite desserts and cakes donated from local bakeries and chefs. A gourmet dinner precedes the much anticipated auction, photo opts with flair, and mingling among a striking atmosphere.

At the Rescue Mission first annual gala, supporters can expect to look back with pride on what they helped achieve over the past 100 years and celebrate the founders who created the vision to save thousands of lives. As we look forward to a new generation of leaders and endless opportunities, we celebrate those who will carry a light to help local communities for 100 years more.
